We have a long history of serving the community. These are some of the ministries that have been ongoing for years.

In addition to these regular ongoing ministries, we do service project Sundays after the Sunday morning worship service on the fifth Sunday of every month with five Sundays, and the last Sunday of every month in the summer.

Loaves and Fishes

Loaves and Fishes is a nonprofit meal program in Minnesota, serving hot meals to those in need. In 2013, they served over 350,000 nutritious meals.  We serve once a month.

The Loaves and Fishes vision is that all people, regardless of socioeconomic, cultural or ethnic background deserve to meet their basic needs for food, dignity and respect. It is only then that self-esteem and empowerment can move individuals to independence.

We serve once a month and have celebrated our 30 years of service in participation with this organization.

Join us the fourth Monday of each month.  See the Loaves and Fishes web site for more information.

Clothes Together

The fourth Tuesday of each month we pay for those in need to do their laundry, including the detergent!  We know that for some members of the community, this is a great help.  It’s hard to go to school or get an interview without clean clothes.

Join us (or volunteer or donate!) at MegaWave Coin Laundry in Hopkins.

Resource West

ResourceWest, a responsive community-based organization, assists people and strengthens the west metro community through collaborative programs and connections to resources.

Its services focus on stabilizing households by addressing basic needs; and supporting households in making changes that will lead to self-sufficiency. They work with clients to overcome challenges in obtaining housing or  employment.

We have been a long-time partner with ResourceWest in fund-raising and obtaining winter clothing and school supplies for them.

See here for more information, see the Resource West website for more information.

ICA Food Shelf

ICA, Intercongregation Communities Association, has been in existence for 40 years. Their clients are your neighbors who find themselves struggling to make ends meet.  Most clients work, but do not make enough money to cover the basic needs of their families.  The ICA offers food, employment assistance and financial assistance.

We have been a long-time supporter and participant in this vital mission in the SW Suburbs.
